Any E30 M3 owners here ????

I have a 1987 so I thought .......... but it's actually a 1988.......... after licencing it for the road (mixed up ownerships....... my previous one was an '87........ and I am a dork). Anyways, the stinky bag part of this diatribe is that anything '88 and up requires emmissions testing 4-EVER from now on thanks to our excellent government and the new law changes........... jus as I was putting her on the road. BAstards

Some shots of her during restoration:

Hopefully this summer I'll get more pics of her now that's she's on the road and almost done.

Cheers

I've got some really bad news for you man. First, it's the wrong color. It should be Alpine. Second, you're never going to be able to put it on the road and drive it. May as well just let me take it off your hands now and save yourself the headache

Awesome! Drive it hard every day and it will take good care of you. I miss my E30 M3, it was a great car with limited troubles.

Great car! I would love to have one of those in my garage. Too bad about the emmissions though.

When I saw it after they cut and polished all the paint, I almost blew a load. Showroom condition. After a few days of having her at home in the garage, I said F*** it, forgot about the great paint and drove the snot out her !!!

Looks awesome so far!

I do not have one but there are 2 E30's in my family. My brother has a red one and my grandfather has a black one that he uses as his track car. My brother drove his E30 as a daily driver when he was home from college and in the summers but it is now a weekend/nice weather car.

There are 3 generations of M3's in my family spread across 3 generations of family members! Ironically, in the pictures below, my brother (the youngest) drives the E30, my father drives the E36 and my grandfather drives the E46! Seems kind of backwards, doesn't it? And the red, white and blue (carbon black is close enough) is just a coincidence! I wonder who will be first in the family to get the E90?

Have you driven all of them? If so, which one do you look forward to driving the most when you get a chance? They are all great, but do any stand out as being more special than the others?

Actually, I haven't gotten to drive any of them. Basically the only people that are allowed to drive them are the 3 owners and my aunt and uncle who are more than just experience BMW drivers! I think they'd all agree that the E30 definitely has "something special" that the others don't/can't have and they ALL enjoy driving it. They can really appreciate how much of a pioneer the E30 was. Both of the E30's have been in the family for a long time (my grandfather owned the red one before my brother) so they tend to get the most love. Kind of like oldest children!

Having said that, they love every minute behind the wheel of all 3 of them! I'd be surprised if any of them leave the family any time soon, even if an E90 is added.
