New toy. 2006 Z4 3.0si

Now if spring would arrive, I could enjoy it.

Meantime, my trusty 2003 X5 forges on.

Nice car. I like the wheels, I had the same ones (I think so, anyway, from the bolted rim). Mine was a 2004. I enjoyed it until I got tired of paying too many insurance bills with not enough driving time.

Manual transmission, I hope? I had the SMG/SSG, but they stopped offering it in 2005 I believe.

Yep, 6 speed manual. Very smooth, too. Full coverage is $500/year. Same as my X5.

My insurance is closer to $2500 per vehicle. Four vehicles. No points on licenses. 18 year no claim bonus on the 3 BMWs, $3500 per year for an inexperienced driver on a Toyota.

Here's my little Z4

I LOVE the brakes on this car. They're as good or better on the track as the Ferrari F430 or Gallardo (I have time in both...) and for the money I don't know of a better fun factor car out there. Maybe the Elise as long as you throw ALL expectations of comfort out the window!

Anyways, love the car. Although I think it'll look better next to my Imola Red 4.4i that's on the way next week.

Sweet, an //M. I'd love one, but it just wasn't in my price range. Still, the 3.0si is no slouch. I'm sure I'll have fun with it.

Question: What do you do with your radar detector when you park the car? Do you leave it in the car or take it with you?

Congrats! I had a 2005 3.0i (back when it was 2.5i and 3.0i) and it was quite fun to drive. I loved how you could open the top with the key, so hot!

My neighbor has a z4 as well and he gave me a ride in it. It is so fun to ride in but it is probably a lot better to drive. He occasionally will start it up and rev the engine it sounds sooo good!
