Pics and white color don't do the new 7 justice. Gotta see it in person in that graphite.

Panamera isn't generic, but that's not an excuse for ugly!

And I can tell you, as always, the new 7 is yet again on the forefront of automotive technology. It is packed full of new goodies, and for a tease that I can't substantiate yet, when doing a short test on it with the new test equipment it asks me if it x-drive installed!

I now have a nice little vision of a future Alpina B7 with some sort of excessive boost and power... harnessed in by x-drive in addition to the 4 wheel steering!

I drove one when they passed around a pre-sales model in January from dealership to dealership. It's a great car that deserves better sheet metal. Every facet of the vehicle is improved except for appearance. I worked at the L.A. car show for 2 days at the BMW display and spent most of my time talking about the F01. Judging from the comments I received, there were a lot of visitors who were on the fence on how it looked, especially from current E65/E66 owners.

When I saw it in the sheet metal I fell in love with it instantly and had to have it. I had only popped into the dealer to get a scheduled brake fluid flush and had no intention of looking for a new vehicle.

I miss my E70 in some respects but definitely love my F01.

And yes, there is an x-drive model destined to be released later this year.

I saw quite a few of the 7er in Germany (Bimmers are the norm there afterall). Got up close on some parked on the streets and was impressed. I also sat in a 740i at the dealership (BMW Berlin Niederlassung) and I really like the interior. It's a welcome change from the E65.

I bet the the new 5 will have most of the benefits and will be a more reasonable size and price.
The F10 5-series is supposed to have lot of new "first time" stuff.
