Weasel will become famous soon enough
Not only that, but the first turbo engine with valvetronic as well. And it uses the valvetronic as the primary throttle vs using a throttle body. (though I'm sure there is one there as a backup in case the valvetronic system is faulted)

Should the driver set the direction indicator nevertheless, indicating that s/he is about to change lanes, the LED signal in the light will warn the driver by flashing on and off. The driver will also be warned by discreet but unmistakable vibration of the steering wheel.
i really dislike this part. seems like technology is taking over the skills of driving. soon, bmw's will be able to "autodrive".

Will Smiths Audi in the movie I-Robot gives me hope that cars will drive themselves, but we will always be able to hit a "Manual override" button and still drive for ourselves.

honestly, i'd rather have a few accidents than to be controlled by a machine. Automatic transmission is the furthest i'd go to a machine controlling my car- other than that and i won't be driving it.

A few accidents? 30,000 people dead per year could be avoided. Some would say it's natures way of thinning the herd, until you lose someone you care about to a meaningless accident.

I think we have all the basics ready today to have self driving cars. Maybe add magnetic sensors in the roads as a fail safe, when GPS and cameras can't see the road.

The 5er has lots of technology, but still should have that famous BMW feel. That is all I care about. Once the driving cannot be done by humans, it won't matter anymore.

That's interesting. I just love the way that technology just keeps marching forward.
