But now I do run slower, still ahead of most of the pack, but slower than I used to - simply because I now realize that the chances of hitting a deep spot of water is always there; so why take an unnecessary risk – especially when others are with me. And no matter how great your car and tires, if the water is deep enough YOU ARE GOING FOR AN UNEXPECTED DETOUR. Those of you who still feel confident enough to continue to run at 80+ MPH, feel free to do so, just be aware of who is around you and what you might slide into if you do hydroplane.

74 with lots of space in front of me is "behaving" yes I am focused and ready to lift my foot but it not like I am running at 80. With regard to the other guy it seems that cars tend run together as a group by running faster I get ahead of the pack and probably safer. Now you can't do this in heavy traffic but in light traffic conditions I would much rather be out in front.

This past monday the rain was insane. During my 1.5 hour drive I saw at least a dozen car accidents. While the VW drove fantastic I chose to play it safe. No need to risk my life to get there 5 seconds quicker
