I think the rear of the new m3 coupe needs to be redone. IMO, it looks cheap. Or could it just be the angle

Sadly though BMW has decided that any car with an M lable on it is now worth about 30K more then the most expensive version of that model in non-M cladding.
Drives me nuts. When I bought my E46 M3 it cost me 54,000 off the lot. Sitting next to is was a 330Ci that cost 46,500. The Ci price tag was about the most expensive non-M 3 series on the lot putting the M edition about 14% higher then the most expensive non-M. Now BMW has gone insane and deemped M-cars as nearly limited edition exotics. Think about this, the new 5 series (530XI) cost about $58,000 well equipped. Now the M5 on the other hand costs a little more then $83,000. This is a 43% increase in price, that is insane. And the 6 series to M6 relationship will be even worse. I guess I'm pretty much in the minority in believeing that BMW is attempting to over value its products to compete with MB but so be it. My prediction on the cost of the new M3.... 47K-48K being the high end of the 3 series so that would put the M3 around:$68-70,000. Again, IMO.

Well the M sport models aren't available in the US because BMWNA has determined, and I agree, that the M cladded BMW in the US would lower the value of the true M models.

Sorry, can't help you with the distribution policies of BMW in the US
Here in the Great White North, the 550 with premium/nav is $86,600. The M Sport package on top of that is another $7,500 (9%) and gives you the following: M Aerodynamic Package, M Multi-Function Leather Sport Steering Wheel, Sport Seats, Anthracite Roof Liner, M Sport Suspension, 19" M Double-Spoke Alloy Wheels - Style 172M, High-Gloss Shadow Line. (Deletes heated steering wheel)The M5 is $115,500 with no options, which is 22% higher than the loaded 550, or 33% higher than the 550 without the M sport package. Given that the M sport includes more than just the cladding, it looks like BMW of Canada is conciously bridging the (large) gap between the M and non-M models in both price and equipment. Perhaps the same strategy will trickle down to BMWNA. I agree that the new M3 is likely to go a fair way up the price ladder. It appears the filler model will be the 335, whether it is a turbo 3.0 litre (as rumoured for Europe) or a NA 3.5 litre (as rumoured for North America)

LemansX5: I see you're still the GURU of spy pics. I'm salivating looking at those new M's.... Hope they bring back the M3 4-dr
One thing, BMW is always late to bring out M models especially the Z4...it's about time. OTOH, M-B introduces its AMG versions almost simultaneously. If you're a car enthusiast, ya just can't wait. Know what I mean? Thanks bro!
