Car was shipped today.
Transport estimates 15 days on the rail. 15 days? wtf?
And that gets the car to Oxnard prep center.
Then it has to sit at Oxnard while they do the last inspection.
Then has to be shipped to dealer.

I'm gonna guess Mid October.
Huh?!

The rail is a killer - I'm scheduled to pick mine up on Monday at lunchtime.

We'll see.

One advantage of living in Minneapolis I guess.

Which part are you Huhing?

You're getting your X5 on Monday at lunch and I'm getting mine mid October. Booooooooo...

That's not fair. I might just have to sneak over to Minneapolis and urinate in your gas tank. I thought I was going to have the first ///M on the board.

That's great for you though.. Congrats.

But are you sure your car doesn't need to go through tech center? etc.

I've been hoping this wasn't the case the the X variant.. But I kept forgetting to ask.

What's the tank size on the M5? It's like 15 gallons, right?

Read this post in this thread. Talk to SANguru(who owned and sold the M5) about tank capacity.

I was 'huh'ing' the fact that it takes 15 days! to get an SUV to the West Coast.. I thought you'd get yours before me.

It's allegedly at the prep center now. I was actually surprised that it would be here that fast too - we'll see.
