X5 M wins..

I received my January Car and Driver and there is a comparison with X5M, Cayenne Turbo S. Land Rover Sport Supercharged and Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8.

Well The X5M won the comp. They achieved 4.0 seconds to 60 mph using Launch Contol.

Only huge gripe were the front seats. That might be my only gripe as well. Why not a unique M sport seat in the X? I like the BMW Sport seats fine and they are a great seat but would have loved the vertical support of the seat out of the M3 or M5. Even the comfort seats with the electric side bolsters.

Good to have a winner though..

The LR/RRS and the Jeep would not have ever been in the hunt. And BMW would have benchmarked the X5M against the Cayenne Turbo S anyway...

A no-brainer, but at least C&D didn't screw it up

Wow! Typical of BMW to understate their figures. Amazing... I want one! Wish I waited a bit, but was in a rush to buy another car for tax purposes.

You CAN get the X5M with comfort seats...

I just picked up my X5M yesterday - how did you get the January issue already? I am a subscriber and don't have it yet - where can I read this article!

I believe in the US you can only get confort seats with the active/vent seat package. As far as I know M sport seats are standard equipment in the M3 and M5/M6.

As for the January issue not sure how I got it so quick just got it in the mail. Its not posted on the C&D website yet.

I really appreciate how this vehicle can be two completely different cars. More comfortable and pleasant to drive than my '08 E70 4.8 sport but when in M mode is an absolute monster. Love it..
