Hit a HUGE pothole and lost a front tire...

HOw much does the wheel and tire insurance run? Is it tied to the warranty on the vehicle?

I went through 3 front sets of rims for my 2005 M3 Competition (however it was the ONLY negative point of that car!)

I'm not sure I would trust this wheel anymore after such an impact. You should ask around if there is the possibility to have a X-ray done of the rim. If there is damage, the X-ray can unveil it pretty fast.

I think I paid $840 for 5 years of insurance. I don't know if it was from BMW but I think it was from a 3rd party and has nothing to do with the factory warranty.

They replaced the tire and said the rim was still fine. Now it feels like the car pulls to the right. Time for an alignment.

Ouch..

I was driving in to work this a.m., dodging the potholes and thinking 'glad I bought that insurance'. I'm sure you thought the same thing about 2 seconds after you hit that baby.
