Any changes between '11 and '10 on the M's announced?

I want to order mine ASAP...just trying to see if there are any changes to the ordering guide. I don't think my dealer is taking orders...did you get a production number so that it has been accepted by BMW? Are you buying or leasing? Curious what lease payments look like...estimating I will pay around $1300/month loaded with taxes/fees up front.

Forgot to ask for the production number. But I'm not worried about it as the dealer always takes very good care of me as a "frequent flyer" who doesn't mind paying them a fair margin ($2k over invoice on all my purchases) in exchange for exceptional sales and service experiences. They will find a way to come though for me.

My local dealer had an open allocation for a '11 5.0i at status 112 that apparently BMWUSA will let them modify to a M. I'm guessing (based on the number of new '10's for sale on all the car websites) that the X5M's are not moving all that well so BMWUSA will be accommodating with the allocation modification. However mine was the second order for a '11 X5M they have received this week.

They let me borrow their "launch edition" silverstone over black $91k-ish MSRP X5M for the weekend for an extended test drive. I'm amazed at the sheer amount of power and utility (M5 power and handling with X5 utility)

I typically pay cash for my cars but will always jump on a mis-priced option if BMWFS offers up overly optimistic residual or money factor leases (leased my E93 M3 when BMWFS offered 0% interest in the depths of the market collapse during fall '08). I doubt that will be the case with the X5M since most auto makers (including BMW) have come to their senses and adjusted lease factors back down to earth from the fantasy-levels they used to use. Using the '10 lease factors my 20-second back-of-the-envelope lease calcs on my HP12C came up with a $1400-ish/month 3yr/10k lease payment on a $99,275 MSRP. I have no interest in leasing at those levels. Why would I with USD 1 month LIBOR at 25bps and an implied interest rate of 5%-ish?...PASS. Plus I plan to hold onto this one for a while. Might even take a shot at 1 Lap of America next year with it.........hope that helps.

You had to beat them for $3k disc. There is around $7500 or around 8% mark-up on base MSRP. Options and packages make more room for mark-up.
