I don't think the car is actually slower, it just seems like it.
I have to say that I also had this feeling at start, but not now, because just couple of nights ago I pulled away from a Fer 360 or 430 - he was keeping up, but not more I was thinking it would be me trying to keep up. |

Mine is plenty fast. And I can't believe the handling is as good as it is.
Just an awesome car. |

higher driving position can affect the feel of speed I find
you tend to feel more insulated, and as though you are going a bit slower |

Yeah, it's the driving position that leads to that lack of fast feeling. Time-wise, you smoke everything BMW and Mercedes makes (maybe not the 65 AMGs) and all the Cayene Turbo S.

It doesn't feel like 550hp because the vehicle weighs 5000+ lbs
It doesn't give as much sensation of speed as the 750 because you are higher off the ground. Combine the two and you have a very misleading vehicle (to it's passengers at least)

You do use the Sport mode on the transmission right? That will also make the car move a lot faster...

Get on some back roads with your wife in 750 and you in X5 M. Go from start to 60mph and see how it goes. You can use the iPhone ///M-power app, if you have iPhone. BTW, have you used launch control?
