Sprint Booster???

I'm set to take delivery of my X5M in a few weeks, but I unfortunately didn't have the opportunity to test drive one first (dumb, maybe...but a chance I'm willing to take.) Thus, I wanted to ask for your opinions on the throttle response of these beasts. If they suffer from the typical drive-by-wire lag, has anyone installed a Sprint Booster on their X5M to combat that? I've used them on my previous 3 vehicles including a E60 M5, and I definitely prefer the response with, rather than without the Sprint Booster. Any feedback out there?

I had a poor experience with SB in my E70 4.8i. You'll find my story there too.

Thanks, but I was hoping to get some input specifically from X5M owners. I have read the post(s) you referenced, but didn't find any feedback, good or bad, from M drivers.

I don't have any experience with SprintBooster and don't even know if they make one for the X5M, but I know all they really do is alter throttle maps for improved throttle response without adding power. Since power is so easy to add on this SUV, why not save your money and put it towards one of the chips that will add an easy 50-60 hp and improve throttle response at the same time? Besides, there is so much power even in stock form that increasing throttle response too much may make it tough to drive smoothly, so make sure you drive yours first and see if you find it lacking before making any changes.

Car has its own sprintbooster, it is called the M button.

EXACTLY!!!!!

My E46 M3 I used to have, had a Sport button that drastically changed the Drive by wire. is this what the Booster does???

Press M button and put it in Sport transmission. Step on gas ans hold on.

Without M button pressed or in sport, the throttle is a little lacked. i drive it a LOT with M pressed and in manual.
