Been following the "it has begun" thread.. good results from the flash though
Depends what you mean by void. Engine damage or consequential damage to the powertrain (as determined solely by BMW in their wisdom) will not be covered by BMW if they feel that an aftermarket tune caused or worsened the problem. You are on your own. ESS (and others) won't cover damage caused by their own tunes. The rest of your vehicle warranty won't be impacted.

With Dinan, the BMW warranty does not in fact stay intact, but Dinan 'top up' the BMW warranty to keep you whole, ie they cover consequential damage. You have BMW warranty on the vehicle, and supplemental Dinan coverage to fill in the spaces left if BMW won't cover something on an impacted component.

ESS will give you DIY settings to switch back when you take your car to dealer. Some members here have ESS and they can speak to this.

Finally settled on a price with the dealer..300$ over "dealer cost". Might pull the trigger tommorow. Space gray with black interior.

The only flashing I have done so far is with PCs, phones etc. Not really confident on flashing anything with automobiles

Dealers have a set of winter wheels/tires for the truck.

Lots of vids on Youtube with a X5m and X6M tearing up snow packed areas with this setup.

A quick Q about PCD: if I pick the car up at the dealer say next month, can I schedule a day with the center in spring even though I have already picked the car up?

Not sure about your Q but PCD is delivery at Performance center, not at your dealer. You can do PCD first and then have them ship to your dealer(if you do not want to drive) but not otherwise.

You can always schedule a M-driver school at PC for a price.

Any of u try these:

LUX Angel Eyes Products | Lux Angel Eyes

They look nice. Wanted the xenon running lights "angel eyes". Dealer said could not do it. Might land up getting them from that site and installing them...

Installed on my X5M the day I took delivery. They are good, but not great IMHO. Daytime visibility is far inferior to the OEM setup we should see on the X5M next month or so. XBimmers has a thread with pics for the LUX angel eyes if you haven't already checked in there.
