Quick Q about the clearBra: got quotes for 3M and Xpel dealers. One recommended going with the Xpel ultimate or the Avery nano fusion which are little more expensive..Xpel has 7yr "warranty" while 3M has 5Yr....Thinking of doing the hood, fender, bumper and rocker panels...

Do u guys have any experience with either one or both of the products...which is the better of the two?

For covering about the same amount of surface of the truck, the quotes I got are:

3M; 880$
Xpel extreme:1478
Xpel ultimate self healing film: 1728

Thinking of doing the 24" hood, fender, bumper, behind real wheel rear wheel and rocker panels...Pricing wise its a no brainer to do the 3M and thats the way I am leaning towards, My dealer has extensive experience with the installer as he does not only BMWs, but also Porsche and Audi there.

did not find too much advantage going with the Xpel by reading online other than 7yr warranty. wondering if any of u guys have any opinions...Thanks.

My opinion is save your money and just 3M the rocker panels and half way up the rear wheel lip. I stopped mine at the door break. You shouldn't get anything behind the rear wheels as the lower side bumper bends in and doesn't even get dirty.

As for the front bumper mine has held up astonishgly well as have my other BMW's with plastic front bumpers. No nicks or anything. the couple of micro small paint nicks I have are on the metal hood and so far up by miscellaneous errant rocks that a 3M guard wouldn't have mattered. I just fill with touch up paint and clearcoat and you can't see them. much better than a plastic band running 2 feet up accross the hood.

Again this is my opinion.
