My wife was asking whether she would get to drive the car around the course etc... Since it will be 2 of us. It will be "her" car, so it'd be nice for her to drive it in the extreme situations.


Also, if you do elect to ship the car to the dealer, is that pricey?

Both you and your wife will get to drive on the course. The instructor will alternate between you and your wife, so you both get equal time behind the wheel of X5M. He will do the slalom, wet pad, braking at high speeds, etc.

I did not ask the cost on shipping to dealer, so don't know.

BMW will send you the scenic routes for your drive back.

I did join the BMW CCA for a 2 year term membership on October 26th, so the earliest I can take delivery of the X5M is after that date next year.

Does it matter when I place an order on the car? I want to make sure to get that $1000 check rebate, so really don't want to mess it up.

I believe you have to be member for 12 months prior to delivery date. Order date does not matter. See first bullet under terms on link below.
