My X5M with Vorsteiner Lip and Mud Flaps

Here is my 2011 X5M. I decided to post pics because its that season when salt and sand will cause a lot of people to think about getting BMW mud flaps to prevent getting paint chips. I know at the time I was worried about purchasing flaps that might ruin the look of the car and tried to find images on the net to help my decision. But there wasn't too many helpful pics I could find. Either they were bad shots or you couldn't see the whole car in the pics. I have taken quite a few pictures to help those who are on the fence or not sure about how they look to make better informed decisions. I know not everyone likes the look of the flaps but I don't think they look bad. I think they accent the Vorsteiner front lip spoiler I have. Hope this helps.

Enjoy (or not)!

I live with NY roads so I love the tires; more comfortable and quieter ride.

If you painted them the same color as the car they wouldn't look as pronounced. Possible?

blue dragon will become famous soon enough
That just looks so badass. I love that you weren't afraid to add the mudflaps. A practical touch to your X5 M

Of course you can paint them, the choice is yours. Its just hard ABS plastic. I was afraid, if i painted them, the paint might flake off on the edges where the splash would hit it. My vehicle is already black so it just needs some cleaning and some Armor-All. I took those pics after some heavy rain so the tires and flaps look extra dull. Normally there is more of a shine to them. Maybe I'll repost some pics after a good washing.
