BMW apps/usb video format

Is it possible to play videos/music videos/any type of videos on our navigations screen through either the usb port, or the bmw multimedia app cradle option(which i did purchase when i ordered the vehicle)

Not legally. Most jurisdictions write tickets if the driver can see a video from the driver's seat. That is why BMW doesn't offer it, it is considered unsafe.

There are aftermarket companies that provide solutions.

The reason I am asking is because, if you plug in your iphone to the multimedia apps cradle. You can see there is an option to watch "music videos" but when it plays its just a black screen with no video only audio..

haha all these rules that the gov't is trying to pass down are hilarious.. you CANT text and drive, but i see people eating, applying make up, doing their hair, even using an electric razor to shave sometimes.

We cant watch videos legally with our bmw, but then again through that same screen with the same cradle, we check facebook status's and twitter updates..

Not saying I dont agree with the laws/rules.. but come on now...

plus some people like to read books while driving! Isn't that awesome?
