I have the same suspension and 22" HRE wheels on mine (2012) and I find the ride to be VERY bouncy.

This is comparing it to my E46 with Bilstein PSS10 - those take the bump and then immediately settle...the x5m seems to just bounce and bounce

I have tried full soft and full hard on all settings

Any thoughts?

Thank you,

Stuart

Hey Stuart,

I first had H&M springs on the x5m and the ride was incredibly bouncy.. I ended up switching to KW coilovers stg2 right away, and the ride incredibly improved.. It is def a STIFF ride, especially for an SUV.. but I wouldn't say its bouncy.. its just very stiff and grip the road very well..

What tire sizes you running on your 22s?

Thank you Alpine.

295/30 and 335/25 Pirelli

I hate the tires btw - not great in rain, spin easily in dry - I wish there were other tire options in those sizes.

What size and brand are you using?

I wish the ride were a little more stiff in the front (seems soft) and had more rebound control.

I am almost fed up enough to switch back to OEM suspension

My buddy ran conti's on his X5 on 22's...dropped with Hartge springs and ride was rough as well, too much for me, but tires were decent and stayed quiet a lot longer than the Dunlop and Bridgestone RF i was running....

I have conti dws on my oem 20s and love them...I also have had them on my wife's TL for a few years, they work well, last a long time and are quiet

To OP, perfect example of the X5M IMO. I'm very envious.
