Factory Alarm Question

I was interested in getting the factory alarm, but i had some questions. First of all what does the alarm protect, only if you open a door or impact also. Secondly does anyone have a link on how to install the alarm.

thanks in advance

cheers

Rob.

I picked-up the factory alarm at Pacific BMW( like 189.00) and installed myself. It is easy, but you just have to take your time. It is all plug n' play. It covers the doors and movement inside along with a sensor that detects the car being tilted in anyway. There are directions on the install in here somewhere. Run a search in the forums.

Good Luck

I just had the alarm system installed in my X3 last week at the dealership. It cost about 120.00 in labor, but it seemed more efficient to pay them to do it than for me to screw it up.

It protects the car from being flat bedded, having any of the doors opened, including the hood, and has a tilt sensor and motion sensor. The best part of the alarm system is that it sounds a little chirp when i lock and unlock the doors.
