X3: Navi, Phone and Setup no longer selectable

Dear all,

After having troubles with the Airbag control module this has been replaced by my dealer and the car's bus has been reinitialized accordingly. The repair has been covered by my extended warranty package (being called BMW Paket Care here in Austria).

Since then I can no longer select "GPS Navigation" "Phone" and "Setup" in the menu. As I have "pimped" my Navi using a modified copy of the original software CD to display an alternative startup-screen und use a modified map-DVD with speed camera POIs my dealer insists to blame this update (being in place for 2 years without troubles now !) for the problem and refuses to repair/change the Navigation computer.

Re-applying the unmodified original Software to the device did not change anything. Does anybody have an idea what the root cause of the problem could be ???

Thank you
Christoph
