A two door SAV? Why?
A "Cajun Turbo" sounds like something that happens the morning after eating too much spicy food.

SAC...BMW sure is funny sometimes.
I actually don't mind the look of the Porsche.

BMW is getting ready to take on the Range Rover Evoque with the latest addition to its SUV range, and we’ve got the pictures to prove it. This is the X4, and our exclusive images – produced using inside information – show how it will look when it rolls off the same US production line as the X3, X5 and X6 in 2014. The car clearly takes styling cues from the latter, while our images also show unique lights and bumpers front and rear, as well as a distinctive grille and alloy wheel designs. Plus, a swooping, X6-like roofline blends into a bolder, more athletic rear end. The X4 will share its platform with the X3, and is essentially a sportier version of that car – just as the X6 is a racier take on the X5. The newcomer will inherit the X3’s engine range, which currently comprises three diesels mated to six-speed manual or eight-speed auto gearboxes. As well as rivalling the Evoque, the X4 will take on the forthcoming Q6 and Cajun models being co-developed by Audi and Porsche. Read more: BMW X4 exclusive image | News | Auto Express |

BTW, Cajun was internal name, short for Cayenne Junior, just like they now have Pajun for you guess what?
From Porsche, on Macan: The name Macan is derived from the Indonesian word for tiger and combines suppleness, power, fascination and dynamics – core characteristics of this new all-terrain car. "The Macan combines all sports car characteristics with the benefits of an SUV and is a genuine Porsche", said Bernhard Maier, Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing of Porsche AG. "The name of a new Porsche has to fit with the brand, sound good in very many languages and dialects and evoke positive associations." As a new addition to the Porsche model range, the Macan is a key pillar of the company's Strategy 2018, by which the sports car manufacturer wishes to expand its model portfolio. Porsche intends the Macan to emulate the success of the Cayenne. The new car will start coming off the production lines at the Porsche factory in Leipzig, Saxony, in 2013. The site is currently being expanded into a fully-fledged production plant including body assembly line and paint shop; with 500 million euro of investment, it is one of the biggest building projects in the corporate history of Porsche. In the medium-term, the sports car manufacturer will be creating more than 1,000 new jobs. Porsche names have an indelible connection with the corresponding model and its characteristics: the name Boxster describes the combination of 'boxer' engine and 'roadster', Cayenne stands for sharpness, the Cayman is snappy and agile and a Panamera is more than a Gran Turismo, capable also of winning the Carrera Panamericana long-distance race Last edited by LeMansX5; 04-15-2012 at 01:37 AM. |

So we can expect a smaller version of the Panamera as well, huh? Judging from the limited pics, it appears the Macan will be better looking than the X4, imo. Edit: The more I look at this car as well as the X6 and 5-er GT up against the current and upcoming competition from Audi, Porsche and even MB, the more hideous they all look. The competition is/will be putting out much better looking vehicles in these segments. BMW really needs to revamp these models and cut it's losses with them design-wise. They just simply are not very pleasing to the eye.
