2001 x5 3.0 Pricing help

I have a 2001 3.0i Alpine White with Beige interior. I am the original owner and, it has 110K miles. I looked through KBB but trust your opinions more on the current value of the car.

It is in good shape, the memory portion of the memory seat doesn't work, a line of pixel missing on the radio. A rear bumper cover was replaced a few years ago because someone failed to stop short of the car at a stop light. It is garaged so the paint is in excellent condition. Interior is also in good shape except for some hairline cracks on 2 wood trims. Other than that, I can't think of anything else.

It has new CV's and control arms at 105K. New tires and alignment then as well. I was hoping to get around $4000. Am I too optimistic??

P.S. I can post some pictures if needed.

I think it should bring you the expected amount, even the base model. What options does it have?

We like to see pictures. Lets see them.

Pictures help... What are the condition of the seats? Also, what part of the country are you in? East Coast, West Coast, New Mexico/Arizona, Gulf Coast, So-Cal, Mid West, or North East?

If it were a CA car it would easily be worth $6k or more. I don't know about how the potential rust issues in IL will affect things, but even then, I expect $4k and more, easily.

Check your local craigslist and pay attention to the cars that come and go quickly and the ones that stick on there forever. That can give you a clue to your market pricing.

I bought my '01 X5 128k in crazy good quality. I paid $5700 AUCTION price; they are selling between $6 and $9k around me depending on condition (dealer). Where are you located; ever since I got my car, my wife has been wanting to get a "her's" model to go with my "his". Mind has the same 'klingon' MID display issue and I had to fix the AC as well. Mine has the Air suspension and HID lighting.

My wife is looking to buy a car 'this fall' for 'about $4k' :-D It would be a hoot to actually follow through on the his and hers concept.

mmmmm,

Here's my 2¢'s. The paint and body looks to be in great condition and the interior appears to be in excellent condition with the only exception being the drivers seat (shows the mileage, but still in good shape).

Just from a cursory glance, it looks like you have the headlight washers, HID headlights, the rain sensor, and the rear door pull up sun shades.

You better get a deal cooking on it... I'm guessing that car isn't gonna be on the market very long.

As far as options, it has the premium package, activity package, HID, premium sound, heated steering wheel, heated seats, rain sensor, rear sunshades and keyless entry.

and a recent car wash after the above pictures.

You should have no problem getting 4K. With the nice condition and low miles I would ask at lest that. Remember it's always easy to come down in price.

check your PM MMMMM; my wife wants your car ;-D we can have his and hers X5s. heated steering wheel awesome; not sure if mine has that never was cold enough to tell. Is there a button to engage or is it automatic (one of the fun parts of buying at auction; the 'easter eggs' I find later and didn't know it had). (like automatic leveling suspension and headlights)

do you have luggage cover in the back? auto dim mirrors?
