So its the severe turning that can cause premature failure? Maybe I should take wider U-turns from now on... And also avoid steering all the way from lock to lock (in parallel parking, for example)

I've developed the ratchet sound during hard acceleration, guess it's time to look at the front prop shaft spline.

passenger halo bulb is out

whiter bulbs should be in today and should be able to upgrade both lights in under 5 minutes

also getting oil change tomorrow and replacing the filter too

got iron X to get rid of baked break dust since a few people in here recommended it

As par for the course the X5 throws a fit at the end of the week and right at the beginning of a snow storm. So far we are 0-2 for mountain dumpage and X5 brokenness.

New coolant tank and hoses on their way.

Now the question is do I take the E30 with a roof rack and snow tires (LSD too), or the Audi without a roof rack (risk effing up the nappa leather) and new all season DWS'?

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
If you don't care about slush in the Audi then lay down the back seats and throw a blanket over the seats and take that beast - sorry about the expansion tank man

Haha slush would be fine. I'm more worried about compact ice and snow. Luckily we don't use salt here so that's not a concern. I haven't driven the S5 in the snow yet...

Do they use magnesium chloride?

That stuff's even worse then salt, it sticks really well and is difficult to rinse off.

could be the cable connected to the interior door handle broke. you need to take the door panel off ASAP before the outside door handle doesn`t work too. you need to check this out right away.
