Still chasing an oil leak - oil connection flange on block
Luckily these little o-rings are cheap. I tried replacing the orings on the ends of the hoses going into the flange (11421702905), but that wasn't the source of my leak. realoem shows just one o-ring under that flange, but I am sure it has to have two (in and out) - anyone know if they are identical (get 2 of 12311718712) or do I need to track down a different part number? Has anyone ever changed those? Would love to hear that it is possible and has been done before...

An update for anyone interested. I removed the inner wheel well but still didn't have enough clearance, so removed the front bumper cover so I could remove the cooling duct that directs air onto the steering rack. With that removed, I could use a series of extensions and a 13 mm socket on the single nut that holds the two oil lines in the bracket and then use the same approach (from a different angle) to remove the 3 bolts holding the bracket to the block. There was enough room to wiggle the bracket out. Two identical o-rings as expected.

I know you sold your x5, but I am hoping you check in still. I may have this leak and may need to repalce the exact oring. Did it stop leaking and any idea how long it took you?

I'm still out here. Happy to help.
Lots of PITA factor. Removing the front bumper cover and plastic wheel well liner is probably 15 minutes each if you have done it before. Maybe an hour each the very first time. Then it was just patience and fiddling. Another hour or two because of the fiddling. Each bolt took something a little different. Used two universal joints and a handful of 3/8" drive socket extensions (3" to 18" - what I had around). I don't recall having to unbolt any other parts. Good luck!

Thanks for replying. Did you have to replace two of those orings, 1 in and 1 out, or was is just the one per the diagram? How are you liking that Tesla?

Reviving an old post here but I need to buy this flange but can’t tell from realoem what size bolts it needs. The bolt is part 16 but is grayed out. Could the bolts come with the flange?
