ha really?? somehow i feel like they double charged for the parts and the labor time. especially when doing it at the same time as the coil over install. but hey. thanks for making me feel better about it.

Few maintenance projects are as rewarding from a driver's perspective. The feel of a fresh BMW suspension is just awesome. Without seeing the complete estimate I can't say one way or the other. It sounds a little high, but they may have been trying to make up extra time or labor associated with the coil over install? It's certainly not an honest way of doing it... but obviously the shop has to get paid for labor and time put in to the upgrade/repair. I can say that the control arms and sway bar end links were one of the easiest maintenance projects I've done on the truck. Took about an hour total after getting the front end in the air and the wheels off. Really easy job.

I'd love to see the pics but I think the photobucket links are dead?

Install the photobucket hotlink fix plugin for your chosen browser. Fixes dead PB pics across all forums.

With some big updates coming soon, both modification wise and maintenance, I figured I better at least bring this up to date.
February 5 - 6, 2018 - Had my exhaust installer put in some Badlandz electric exhaust cutouts to bypass the factory resonator when desired. The joints at the mufflers are a little more abrupt than I would like, but there's not a ton of room to accomplish what I was asking. I'm sure this has cost me some HP (as was born out by 1/4 miles times), but I did it for the noise enjoyment so I'm not complaining. Exhaust Cutouts Cutouts and installation $495 February 17, 2018 - Took the time to properly install the switch for the cutouts. My installer would have done this for me, but I don't trust anyone to do my wiring so I opted to do it myself. This was a "fun" install, ran the wires through the factory grommet next to the trans. Then installed the switch in an inconspicuous place which was made difficult by the factory foam block insulation. I could have ditched this but instead decided to remove it, tunnel through, and then reinstall it to wire the switch through it. Everything was wrapped in Tesa tape to look OE and followed OE wiring pathways when possible. OCD has cost me lots of time over the years. $0.00 June 16, 2018 - Installed a couple of Bosch 4 wire 15733 universal sensors to cure a post cat driver's side o2 code that was triggering an SES. One of these ended up being DOA out of the box (wonderful) and made diagnosing more fun. Ended up putting one in from a parts truck at a later date that cured it. $85.56 September 19, 2018 - Had the dealer do an oil change because I had no time and they sent me a coupon. Original total was something like $130... no thanks. They were also kind enough to give me a $250 estimate to run diag on the SES light (post cat o2 code) for me. Also, no thanks. $83.00 November 5, 2018 - Installed an E70 rear windshield wiper. Needed a new blade and the total cost of the E70 arm w/ blade was about the same cost. No brainer. Novoflow Aftermarket wiper arm + blade $15.54
