I think trying to make the E53 like the E70 is meh. You could go aftermarket LED smoked/red tails (look like Tam's above on his E39) and remove that silly E70 badge on the left side and look much cleaner and OEM+

There was a tread recently about painting rims in black on dark color X5, I can't even describe how much better standard silver rims look rather than black.

The silver wheels on a dark X5 looks so much better than the black wheels.

No, OP's X5 in that tread was not black - it was some dark shade of green and different reams..

First time was a quick spur of the moment experiment. 2nd time because I thought I would like it. Now they're back to silver. probably for good. Only had the car for a few months, just dialing things in


Rickybobby, my intentions weren't really to make them look like an E70's, and my badges are all original I'm not really sure what you're talking about.

If I were to paint them, I would go with all red. The little strip of clear looks out of place.
