I wonder if that's something that could be easily retrofitted, but then again I'm sure there are a ton of computers and sensors that make the xDrive magic happen.

I'm pretty sure you are right about that...

There will be connections or relationships with the AGS, ABS and DSC at the very least....

Agreed! Really not a difficult DIY for these cars, which is a nice change.

Mine is holding up, many (40k?+) miles later. Did have to replace the steering sensor, which throws similar codes for some weird reason.

Thankfully I haven't done that sensor yet, but it will be a good video to make if it goes!
