and already ordered a pressure gauge (M12x1,5 is the adapter which is needed in this case).
Yeah I hope so too... First thing to do after changing the valves is an oil change - to avoid any risks. I will try to inspect the pan too.

You are right: I only use MANN or Knecht filters (which are the same as BMW sells) - in my opinion: engine, brakes and tyres aren't the right places to "save" some money using cheap stuff.

I just checked the oil level in the morning to see if there is enough oil inside before starting the engine

Got some news: BMW has done the last oil service (1 year ago) and this caused the problems...

They replaced the oil filter element and I don't know how they managed this: the top of the old filter element itself remained inside the oil filter housing. This results in a crushed new filter and this leads to the "dismantling" which clogs the non-return valves (and maybe some more stuff like vanos solenoids).

Are they going to give you some assistance? That sounds like a silly mistake for the dealer to make.

The service manager has to ask his boss for the permission, but he wants to assist with some engine checks (oil pressure, vanos solenoids, vanos diagnostics, maybe oil pan removal, ...).
He said, that the paper of the oil filter won't harm the motor and showed me some BMW internal documents of the N42 where the chain guides come off and BMW states, that even the plastic particles of the chain guides won't harm the enigne...
I said that I want a written statement on which I can rely on if something breaks in the future...

Yes, really a silly mistake

I know it consists of 2 stages, maybe the second stage (or it's control valve) doesn't work in my case?

Which other parts could probably cause such a pressure loss?
Faulty vanos solenoids? Non-return valves?

Any idea is appreciated
It's not You oil pump. I had the same thing , ..................check your RPM's at idle, if it's at 500 that is too low , I replaced my IVM and it fix it ......basically your idle is too low . Your idle should be at 650 rpms.

I changed my vanos solenoids REALLY made a big difference engine has it low end torque back............the oil pressure in the n62 is only about 10psi which is a little amount.
