I always offer to match colors to the car or owner's choice but usually, they go for a stock looking color or a hammered or crinkled black or red.
I like the hammered surface in almost any color. You could do 1 side red, the other side blue and paint the engine cover with the other bmw blue...?

Plattus -
Sounds like you're a PC What's your take on white decals on red OE brembo calipers. Decal ontop of the clear OR decal under and then low heat cure clear ontop I'm debating... On the latter, with the decal under the clear, the white is not as vibrant as if it was left raw... To analogize, take raw alumimum wheels. Polish them to death. They have this insane clarity on raw polished Seal them with the best coating available. The mirror gloss is dialed back 2 nothches.... |

I like details so white on red is nice. I like clearing over the decals or just have them coated with "Ceramic Pro" particularly "wheel and caliper" then you'll be good for a long, long time.

Actually, the clearing over decal was moreso to mitigate white turing color and or them lifting..
I've had my BBKS dones both ways....prefer just decal ontop, as the white POPS, whereas when it goes under, there is a slight color difference. I guess you can't go wrong either way....all the BBK go downhill once the CC get's a chip or 2 in it. Re: CP. Not a fan but like food or colors, ~coatings~ are subjective I suppose. In a blind test, I preferred another manuf. |

At least w/CP, the warranty is for life. Can't say that abount any other coating.
