I do not understand where the problem lays with this type of thread.
Yes it may direct someone to buy from another company if FCP didn't take care of the problem, but they did in most cases. Screw ups can happen to the best companies out there, it's how you fix them what matters.
I have a company of my own, it's not smooth sailing all the time despite my best efforts, but I've learned the most important lessons from unhappy customers.
Closing the thread, maybe, so people can still read what has been said and how it's been dealt with, but deleting it, definitely socialism approach. It's this type of threads that makes these companies follow a straight line, because they fear of losing customers, were it just an average joe complaining via email , not sure the outcome would have been the same.
Maybe it would have...who knows

^It's how they treat the average Joe's that show the worth of a company really. It's easy to give good service to enthusiasts or other frequent flyers.

I don't think there is a problem with the thread, there are many more positive experiences than negative... though calling it socialism to remove it is a bit far fetched as well. Shoot I've ordered from FCP for the last 10 years and they have yet to mess up an order. And my luck isn't that good, trust me.

They aren't usually the cheapest parts supplier, but they are one of the most reliable going by the volume of successful hassle free orders vs. problems. I'm actually about to order some E30 and X5 parts later tonight after I finish assessing what I need for my convertible...

Guys let's not make any further comments on this matter because it looks like it's not going anywhere...The important thing is they took care of the problems and while I was kinda upset about the whole situation, I got over it, car got fixed, that's all that matters.
Humans make mistakes. End of story...

It should go somewhere. You should delete the thread.

I think you handled the issue poorly. Instead of posting a ranting thread and sending FCP emails you should have called them and worked it out with them instead of trashing them on social media. We really don't know if your rant was accurate or not. Regardless, they made you whole and happy. You should respond in kind and take the thread down so other folks that don't see the problem keep the thread going until the E53 forum ceases to exist.

^not sure if you had a bad week or what, or if you're attached to FCP sentimentally, but no, I don't think I handled the issue poorly.
I specifically stated it is not the first time it happened.
I did contact them the first time around, even the second time, and got stupid answers in return instead of "we will take care of it".
Yeah let others see what the heck is going on why not?
Seems like a similar thread popped up years ago about ECS and their horrible shipping and return department and looks like they took a turn for the better.
So really your comments are unnecessary but thanks for chiming in.

Had a great week and have no emotional attachment to FCP. Why not? I've explained why not in several ways--Owning a company you should know why not.

I've been ordering since fcpgroton days and had no problems and excellent shipping times. My orders were not as large $ wise. But with critical parts, i order ahead or ship to mechanic

FWIW I'd never heard of FCP prior to this thread. Now I have the opinion they're a popular company with good prices and occasional shipping issues. They take care of their customers if there's a complaint. Overall not a bad impression.

The thread title isn't inflammatory and the opinions in it are clearly stated and backed by personal experiences. I don't see a problem.

Anyone know the current loyalty codes? I am about to place a decent sized order and every bit of savings helps...

I placed a sizeable order for suspension parts [Bilstein shocks, struts, plus] recently and, as I usually do, shopped around. Over the years I have bought BMW and Mercedes parts from FCP, AutohausAz [usually best price on maintenance items], ECP, Turner, others. I placed this order because of a recently-ended sale and FCP's smart practice of assembling multi-part packages of related suspension wear items. I think I had a loyalty code, too, but don't see it now. I had issues with one shipped box [one of the struts, a hard thing to ship; a bent mounting ear] and they are working with me to make it right. Its unfortunate and frustrating to send stuff back and forth via UPS, but FCP seems to be a standup operation. And yes, a guy in Fort Worth [not me] won the $500 customer feedback prize ......
