Sidewall separating from tire, need new tires, help me choose

Pirellis look good and are decent priced. Michelins are known to be great as well. I don't know much about thr Yokohamas.

I put the Pirellis (stock 255 size on 18's) on my X5 at the start of winter and they've been the best all season I tried after about 6 sets of tires on the beast. Snow traction was very good for an all season and thus far dry traction and noise has been very good. All in all I have about 4K miles on them and they show no wear.
Hope that helps out

Just put my third set of Yokohama Geolander tires on. This time went with the GO15 AT. We live 2 miles up a dirt road so every journey has an off-road element.
These new GO15 tires are really nice and much quieter than the previous Yokohamas. We also had to do my wife's 4Runner and it now has a set of Yokohama GO15 tires as well.

I was always tempted by the Geolander, I'd lean that way for some off road traction for sure

Have you thought about hoping to at least a stock 18? There is a better selection in the 255/55/18 size. In particular the Continental DWS06. It's the end all be all as far as allseasons go.

I just put Continental CrossContact LX Sports on my winter wheels (18s). Porsche choosing this tire as OE fitment for the Cayenne helped with my choice.
Agree with Joshdub, the ContiExtremeContact DWS06 is an awesome AS tire, just ordered a set from Tire Rack yesterday (for my W211 Benz).

I'm with the last two guys, Conti DWS is a fine all season choice, in 18" if you can get 'em. E70 wheels, with hubcentric ring adapters, seem to be available around here.

I'm all for Conti DWS, best all season tires I've ever owned. Ride fantastic and plenty of traction for the elements. Will be ditching the nittos I have on mine for those in a few weeks.

Wow, Tire Rack had the Conti DWS 06s on my doorstep less then 24hrs after ordering online. Unreal.
Came out of their Shreveport location.
