2003 4.6is, Bosch or Bremi coils?

Both fit.
I'm going to replace all 8.
Which brand should I choose?
Bosch or Bremi
( new plugs also)

What did you plan on doing with the old ones?? Always good to have a few laying around for that testing coil... But, if you are gonna toss them, send them to me, please!!

Cheers!!

When there isn't documentation something else is clearly better quality/performance, I think it a good idea to either buy OE or OEM parts. The OE supplier for the 4.6 coils was Bosch. There were some models over the years that came with Bremi coils. When there are multiple brand choices there will be faithful camps to each. In this case I don't think it matters.

Thanks guys.

Gotta go OEM.
I went with Bosch.
New coils, coil stems and NGK plugs.

All wrapped up in my new Imola Red powdercoat valve covers.

2 out of 8 brand new Bremi went bad after only 15 months on service on my 540.
These coils are actually square ones for M60 engine since I'm running M60 valve covers on my M62 540. There is only slight physical difference where you bolt them but ignition chareteristics are the same for M60, M62 or M62TU.
Even though resistance test still shows good, after moving them around the misfire fault followed them.
Fortunately I bought them from FCP Euro and they agreed to take them all back and I ordered 8 Bosch coils for very small added charge since they're only $3 more per coil.
I already have the Bosch on my 528 for few years and I can vouch for their quality.
They're made in Slovenia which is close to where I'm from originally. Bosch has plant there and everything I ever bought made in Slovenia, I never regret it.
It's important to add that when I bought Bremi, there was no markings on them where are they made and that was the first cloud of suspicion.
Another sign of bad quality is that I'm running my 540 with 2 17 year old original Bremi that I kept as spare while waiting on Bosch to arrive in few days.
The "new" Bremi is obviously not the same quality as original one and I'm not surprised.

I got my Bosch ignition coils today.
Under 300 for a set of 8 brand new in box.
Free shipping and tracking!
I questioned the EBay seller, sure enough
as advertised. Made in Slovenia, dated about a year ago.
A little hold up on the valve covers, so might be a few weeks.

Funny, I got mine today as well.
I paid $368 but FCP Euro is taking Bremis back and giving me refund on them.
You probably meant Slovenia, Yugoslavia has been dead for over 20 years now.
I was in that stupid civil war so I'd know, lol.
This is 2nd set of Slovenian made Bosch coils and I've felt the difference today in driving my 540 vs before.
First set replaced original Bremis on my 97 528 and it solved the strange hiccups I was getting but no misfires.
It seems to me that even if you don't have misfire, coils do get "tired" over years and start loosing small amount of voltage to the point of misfire.
