That wire is the remote for the original amp.

That didnt work. I even tried hooking that white wire to the battery and no luck.
that white wire plugs into that ant wire on the trunk side of the 6 meter cable.

think i have something else going on. no idea what.

How have you connected the amp to the white wire ?
I taped it in so both end still is connected, ( to the bmw harness and other end to the amp)

With amp, I mean the wire connected to amp behind the the seicane unit.

Just to get I clear, I ran a xtra wire together with the seicane harness.
One end of the wire is connected to amp #16 behind the seicane unit.
The other end is tapped in to the bmw factory harness white wire in the trunk.

for testing purposes i wrapped the known good wire around the Amp wire that comes out of the tan plug on back of head unit. then the other end i shoved the wires down into that factory plug pin. Also tested continuity from that white wire with my fluke and there is no resistance from that Factory white wire to the Auto Ant wire in the trunk when plugged in to Seicane harness.

kinda leaning towards a faulty unit.

Hmmm very strange.

Do you have 12v with ignition on, on the amp wire behind the seicane unit ?

yes 14.25 Testing from that amp wire directly. (Battery Charger connected up front)

once i add the extra wire it drops two over 12v at the trunk end of the extra wire when not connected to Amp/white wire. Now when i connect that extra wire from the Amp wire on the head unit to the Amp or white wire in the trunk the voltage drops to about 11.14
head scratcher for sure.
