Mine came with an "android 7" manual. Color pictures and step by step on using it. I never actually read it much but its a nice one

I never searched for a video on it so Im not sure on that.

I hope nobody follows this hacks how to, there is a right way and a wrong way to do things and my X is worth the right way.
Sadly too many diy and professional people do use crimp connectors, twist together and insulating tape, scotch locks (which I detest) and other similarly poor standards. Amazed he even use shrink wrap, though he didn’t seal that correctly. His routing though is a perfectly fine demonstration of where to run the cable. Of all the clips I have found this is the best one for showing that.

As to cutting the loom, well unless you take out the seat and a lot more panels this is the only way to get a quad lock through some of those gaps. The majority of quick fit people will prefer to do this than spend the time making room for it. As a non shielded cable with correct, and I stress correct, connections it will make no difference to the service quality.

As an OCD guy myself I know what you mean and guess you are the same, it’s got to be 100% right. For the rest of the world it still works.

Well put.

But I just could not look back and see the 12 red butt splices in a huge bundle and be proud of my installation. I would have done whatever it took to not butcher my loom.

I think back to when I was 13 years old or so installing my first radios, man would love to have a word with him on his horrendous installs (As well as his direction in life after high school ) and abuse of electrical tape. Although, I do still abuse shrink wrap and can't solder to save my life.

Just for you then, the combination of heat shrink wrap and solder, abuse away.

Everyone using the I-bus app. I’m not sure if I’ve never noticed it before or if it’s a new feature, but you can now add the comfort blink option to your turn signals (& change the blinks from 2-7) at the press of a button. Also if your oil temperature isn’t displaying & you have a dash that supports it & a properly working sensor try selecting LCM4.

What’s everyone’s experience with the factory Seicane microphone & Bluetooth calls? I just installed my second one & they both sound bad. Everyone says it’s hard to hear me on either unit. Crowz mentioned his works great but I’ve had the opposite experience, twice.

Got those features enabled (and more) and love it.

Outstanding app for those with replacement head units running Android OS to recover BC functionality and also achieve moderate coding functionality.
