As of late talking to the wife when she is driving the x5 with the Seicane she does seem like she is to far from the microphone. I am going to add the external microphone and see if that fixes it. I didn't have an issue when I first installed it even when she drove it and I was calling her.

No one has complained so I guess mine works OK.

I’ve thought about adding an external microphone or tapping into the factory one. But there are also internal Bluetooth settings & I’ve had no time to mess with those though

I had to add an external mic to mine... Simply to plug the external mic into the rear of the unit and run the wire up under the A pillar and Headliner. The issue is that the internal mic is in the head unit and picks up all the noise in the cabin .. ie blower motor etc and with the noise cancellation distorts... The mic sells for less than $3.00 on ebay and is plug and play... 3.5mm portable microphone

When you select the driver position in the fader settings it goes to front left, for us in the UK we would want the front right, anyone know how?

I am sure I have seen it on the site somewhere but now I am actually installing a unit I can’t seem to find it.

Thank you

There maybe a way to swap the fader preset, but I never found it in the time I have had a number of android head units. Just as the microphone is on the 'wrong' side and the home soft keys on the screen are also further to reach. I ran an app that launched on start up called Home Button - Softkey. The softkey is movable on the screen so I could position it on the far right, in easier reach.
The right hand drive market is relatively small, hardware changes are very unlikely from any manufacturer to suit us.

I found it by accident. For Neil and others in case it works on your unit as well.
Go to factory settings and using 126 as the code open this up. No I didn’t find 126 by accident thank you to others for this, lol.

In the settings look in the sub menus for “rudder” (who knew we were in a boat)?
Change to right rudder and save.

Did this last night and now all is good.

Thanks for the info, I have since moved onto the the E83 and another android based unit. It has a different menu structure and quirks all of its own, but I have largely got it working how I would like.

Hi all,

first of all thanks to all the people that shared their experience!

I'm running into a few problems with my 9" - weak radio signal and canbus decoder (steering wheel buttons).

My E53 (4.4 286 ps) doesn't have the dsp, only nav thus needed a 6m cable to the trunk. My question is will it make sense to buy a 6m antenna extension cable as well? I'd rather use the cars amplifiers for this insrtead of getting an external antenna.

Also did anyone experience issues with the steering wheel buttons? Mine worked once (1 button adapted) and after that 1 button, stopped working.

Or am I doing something wrong... Canbus is connected, key 2 cable as well

Model is Eunavi (boison clone) 7.1.1 android. Although they sent me a 6.0 and made me update... Works ok, I like it but these 2 problems are driving me nuts.

Can anyone please help?

BR

Any reason not to remove the old Nav CD player and back radio unit when upgrading to the Seicane units?
