For seven40il :

I think that white wire in that video is going to be the equivalent to the deal I did the hatch area on mine. So you shouldn't have to run the cable to the rear on yours but I could be wrong. Find out what the pin # is in the connector you have that matches the wire he is showing in that video. Then we can use that picture I posted to know what that wire does in the harness you have. Don't wire anything to it just get that info and post it so we have the info to work with.

Here is a link the video again.

Doing more reading for the dsp people the ibus app is what I would try to keep the sound on.

I will find the ibus connector wire for you and post that in a sec.

As for the IBUS connection diagram you provided, how do I connect to it? Using the Auto Ant Blue wire with white stripe?

Video you posted shows for a DSP system...

I know the guy claims dsp but I have my doubts since he didn't use an ibus adapter. Just because they claim it on youtube doesn't mean its so

We were taking his word for it so to speak.

I'm betting his isn't dsp and that we may be able to get you sound without having to run the harness. But I want to make sure what's in that plug before giving advise.

Another option would be to pull the covers from the back over the spare tire and take the tire out and see if there is a radio module there if so if you want you can unplug it just like I did on my install and plug the supplied the harness into that connector and then hook the other end of the harness into the seicane radio and see what happens sound wise. You will still have to do that connection like I did to get the amp to come on at the connector in the back (where I mentioned running the wire from the blue wire on the seicane to the blue wire on the other end of the seicane harness.

Running the supplied harness is a more reliable solution probably and can be confirmed by removing that rear cover and seeing if it looks like the setup I had.

Another benefit of doing the harness to the back like I did allows you to use the howto as is so to speak making it easier I would imagine.

The only difference is the ibus connection when you can get on pin 9 in the dash harness in place of the way I did it.

I have to snooze shortly to do work tonight for a customer. Weird hours I know

But I want to stay on till you get this sorted so if you would go ahead and pull the cover in the hatch area and the tire out.

Hook up the harness like I did on mine and then run that wire for the amp turn on like I show in the howto.

This will test it all. If it comes on and has sound and works perfectly then you can go thru the rest of the howto on hiding the wires and such to be done.

Don't want to go to sleep when you are in the middle of the install and all.

Yes, purchased the ibus but has not arrived as yet. I would like to give wiring a shot as I don't know how long before ibus gets here but I can wait if you feel it is the best course of action. I know you said my call but I have no idea the best route.

Let me come up a wiring diagram for this. Will be later tonight as that will take a bit but it will allow you to run it till the ibus comes in.

Ok, well still in his video, he just says "connect to the blue wire and you should be good to go" But my question is, which blue wire, from which harness, has to be connected to which wire?

I guess I may as well just start removing all the stuff in the rear to check and see what modules I have down there.

No worries if you have to go to sleep. I've got to be somewhere this evening so probably will pick it up tomorrow.

Thanks again!
