If it acts up again switch to the fuse box so its "off" when the key is out. This way you are fresh powering up the ibus adapter each time your crank the car. This should fix your ibus issues. Your powering up the ibus each time you open the door if not more often than that. There is no telling what state the ibus adapter is in when the radio goes to talk to it with it running all the time so to speak.

Good thoughts Crowz

I’ll be watching it closely for any more misbehavior.

In fact I’ll go out now and turn the key on to see what I get.

Thanks again.

Mike

Thanks! Will give it a Go.

All seems to be working including ibus app. Need to spend some more time to figure it all out.

Biggest priority issues right now are;
1. Whining related to engine rpm. Must be a ground loop or poor shielded cable. Will start unplugging accessories in order to try debug. I.e sub out rca. Antennas. Rear camera etc
2. Relocate GPS. Is on top of dash tube bar but drops out often when driving.

SRacin see if you have a factor gps antenna. If you had factory nav then you will for sure have the factory gps antenna to use but check the drivers side store compartment in the hatch area for a gps antenna plug. I plugged into the factory antenna and it works great.

Thanks. Yes I do. However the thought of pulling the interior apart again to run another wire is not super exciting. I should have done it straight up.

The wire is so thin it wasn't hard to run it down the drivers side since the antenna is on that side and all. Took longer to remove the plastic cover under the dash to run the wire across than anything else.

Decided to go ahead and just buy the poweramp program for the Seicane.

Its a little after 6am and 30 degrees outside so I will wait till later today to actually install it and all.

Have to handle some stuff for the daughter today (she is getting a divorce so I may be a bit afk this week helping her out with all of that stuff).

So if someone ask for help and I'm a little slow answering I'm not ignoring you.

Hi Crowz & All,

Update on my 1.5.5.2 IBUS App install: As of this morning it is still running stable with access to all functions and menu screens without crashing/stopping.

Caution, thread creep follows

To celebrate, I have ordered a pair of H11 LED bulbs in 6000K for my fog positions to match my 6000K LED high beams, which at the 40% coding setting are incredible enough to use as my only night headlights.

Plan is to use the IBUS app coding to add the fog lights to the DRLs.

Current fog bulbs are HID and about 4000K if I remember correctly and distinctly yellower than the current LED high beams.

Mike

I had gone h11 led headlight bulbs in my fog lights. My fogs at 7200 lumens are much brighter than my headlights

On the poweramp app it works but I haven't been able to get the track forward or back steering wheel buttons to work with it at all so far.

I will keep at it though.
