Next we need to remove the two metal clips from the bottom lip where the bottom screws were for the factory head unit. The radio kept catching on these when I tried to install it.

Lift them up a bit with a flat head screw driver and they slide off easily enough.

Now place the gps antenna on the large metal bar that runs across the inside of the dash. I may move it later but I stuck it to the top of the bar for now.

Then slide the radio into the hole and put the two screws in the top. One on each side. This is as far as I got before the rain started pouring.

I still haven't removed the protective plastic from the display yet so its glaring more than it will when I remove that film from it.

I always leave that on for awhile on a new unit to protect it if I have to take it back out for some reason.

I will add more to this tomorrow weather permitting. Sorry I didn't get it all done at one time but I don't have a garage so weather messes me up at times.

I am going to run mine without the factory amp as I am stripping the rear end. I need that space for 'other things.' When I finally choose an amp my plan is to install it where all of the current factory radio items are in front of the spare. Plenty of room for cooling and wiring is just as easy. Unless I am missing anything else.

Thanks for all the feedback !

I'm sitting here in the house watching the rain thru the window. Not much happening on the install till the weather clears up a bit.

My sd cards I ordered for the radio should get here today. I can at least install those and put some movies and music on them. I will post some pics when I get that part done today.
