Its done thru wiring I believe. Email them and ask or post on their site. They respond pretty fast at night usa time wise as that's daytime for them.

If you want I will ask them for you.

Well its still raining but I ran out there during a brief pause and hooked up the backup camera just to see if it worked. Worked like a charm. One nice thing about the way Seicane did their harness to the rear for the factory nav like I had is that the plug for the backup camera is in the hatch area now right at the battery. Will make the camera install a breeze with no extra wires to run to the front for it.

Now I just need sunshine to actually fully install it.

I will also be adding the front camera for parking assist and dvr recording while driving. Always wanted a setup like that so you don't miss those rare life moments when you wish you had pictures or a movie of something wild that happens.

The full package eventually will give me 360 degree overhead view for parking.

Is it taking steering input into the algorithm of the rear camera view bend?

The only sensor it has or connects to from what I can tell is the shock sensor it comes with.

This will start recording 360 degrees around the vehicle if something touches it. Catches if someone hits your car or breaks in or whatever.

It comes with special cloth tarps you put down to train the system and I think it uses motion changes the cameras see to figure the lines.

Honestly I have no clue that's just my guess.

There may be the steering input values coming over the k bus so once you get it all up and running, without moving, turn the wheel and see if the proximity bracket bends. Curious.
