Per Seicane an iPhone will mirror link. under Easy connect app it shows iPhone option and gives mirror link instructions. I followed the instructions or I think I did. It shows it is connected, screen goes black and blinks a color once in a while but does not mirror.

Per Seicane for my radio :

Only Mirror-Link-enabled Android smartphone supported. Iphone only support control via phone screen
What that means exactly I don't know. I don't have an iphone. The wife and I have Samsung Note 8 android phones.

Has anyone been able to keep their cd changer after installing the newest version of this? I would like to keep mine but will give it up if I have to.

Rather than use existing CD player I purchased a CD/DVD player and installed it in the glove box. I have the Seicane with 9" screen. It is a USB player.

There isn't a way to keep the factory changer and there isn't much of a point either since the Seicane has a dvd slot that can read cd's if needed but the ideal solution is to rip all of your music cd's to mp3's which all versions of windows and I think macs too can do easily. Then just put the music on an sd card and insert it in the front of the radio. Presto a 1000 disk changer.

I guess I can rip them to a lossless form since I can not stand compression in my music.

Standard CD audio is 16-bit, 44.1KHz PCM. Each sample is explicitly defined in the data; it is not approximated using a set of mathematical algorithms (which is what lossy compression does).

Back when CDs first came out, that was one of the highest bitrates available to studios.

However, nowadays most studios-- even "bedroom" ones-- can easily record in 24-bit or even 32-bit depth, with bitrates often at 48KHz or 96KHz. The majors sometimes use 192KHz, which of course sounds awesome at the mixing desk. The problem is this: The waveform data of the final mixdown must be resampled downward to fit the relatively old CD standard for mass retail distribution.

Thus, bits are lost, even before the product hits the shelves. Even on a CD, we're not hearing what the artist or engineers heard in the studio.

That said ripping to flac is higher than what a cd can do so its easy to achieve a "perfect" rip with that format.

Do you have issues playing flac files on the unit? Or is that why you converted all of your flac files to mp3? I thought most players had issues with that which is why I wanted to keep my cd changer. I would rather have cd quality over lossy mp3 any day, unless I can play flac files via conversion to wav at least. Glad to see some else that knows a few things about compression in music.
