Brake light and ABS light on

I am trying to figure out how to reset my brake warning lights. Yesterday I had my 2003 BMW X5 on ramps to change the starter. I disconnected the battery, once I got the starter changed and reconnected the battery the ABS light, the brake light and the brake warning lights all came on. Just need to find out how to reset those lights.

try turning the steering wheel from lock to lock. Don't do this while driving, do it in a standing position.

It is more fun to do this on the Highway though.

OK got it. Standing on the seat. Head out the sunroof. Steering with my right foot on the wheel. How fast do I need to be going?

Just obey the speed limit. you don't want a cop trying to stop you... well, at least not for speeding. jaja

andrewwynn will become famous soon enough
ABS will shut off on a low voltage situation. When I repaired my alternator it took a drive or two before the system reset. I'm betting on the voltage interruption causing the problem. It will reset itself if so.

Low brake fluid will do the same. I had that happen once when parked in a steep parking spot. The sensor read less fluid and tripped all the lights. In that case brake will be red not yellow
