Why is it?

That some e53 4.8is's have the front and rear arch fares and some, have only the rear arch flares?

I have a European 4.8is built in 2006 in the US. It has all four arch flares. But I see pictures of other 4.8'is's that have only the rear flares.

Confused and Curious?

I believe the US 4.8is models only have rear arch flares vs the Euro 4-wheel arch flare as standard. I understand the extended arches can be added though.

Take note when you see the extended front "flares" to see if that 4.8is has the aluminum footboard or not.

Flare part nbrs for items #1 & #4 w/regular footboard: Cover door sill / wheel arch | BMW X5 E53 X5 4.8is N62 USA

Flare part nbrs for items #1 & #5 w/aluminum foot board option: Trim, rocker panel/wheel arch footboard | BMW X5 E53 X5 4.8is N62 Europe

Certainly in Aus, the front and rear arch extensions came together on the 4.8is and wide wheel package cars, and I believe all X5s in Aus have the running boards as standard.

Any more angles for that mud flap.
Looks wicked right there.

Just picked up an 04. Has side steps. Only rear fender flares.
