It was in the SM module on my e53.

IHKA is the heating and airconditioning module best I remember.

When my E38 did that, it was a fault in the GM... but my E38 is a 95.
Replaced the module and seat memory worked again.
Now to get the interior lights on it to stop being an a-hole. They went stupid when the GM went nuts.

When picking the speed to lock the doors at with coding not all speeds work for some reason. So if you code it and it doesn't work try a different speed setting.

Takes some initial fiddling around with USB - com port config, but then its relatively idiot proof. It is useful for identifying fault codes as well as monitoring live data with lights and other coding options.
I was looking at some old screen prints from when I coded some options in my ZKE module, and I noticed Steering Column Memory is an option. I never tried it at the time and have since traded my X5. The doors closing and steering column are both in ZKE and presumably can be changed with BMW Scanner I mentioned previously.

I had coded mine with pa soft to lock the doors at a certain speed and it was working fine. Now for some reason it isn't doing it. I haven't had time to hook pa soft back up to find out if something changed in the coding.

I did us ncs expert to code the high beam lights to come on with my bi xenons but that shouldn't of effected the door locking as that is a different module.

The auto door locking is one touchy setting it seems. I had try a few different speed settings to find one that worked last time around.

It's tied to which key unlocked the car. Did you switch keys and possibly not set all keys to lock at speed?

I also programmed the steering column to not move on its own anymore but again that was a different module but who knows. When its not 46 degrees outside and I get some time I will fire up pa soft and check it.
