Any Weapon Box for E53?

I've been trying to figure out a good solution to store a pistol in the E53.

I found this thread on the E70 forum, and wanted to ask if anyone knew if the E53 ever came with similar weapon boxes. I really like the ones in the door.

Also have a highway holster about to go into the rig, but haven't had time to set it up yet. Great product, but can't leave it in the car.

I've been working on fitting my belt holster inside the back pocket of passenger seat. Of course not locking and I'm working on what to do when I'm not in the car. My locking case fits nicely in the left rear trunk box. I'm looking at a nice biometric case meant for under a desk. I'm thinking of mounting left of the passenger left ankle or on the back of the passenger seat.

Nice! Let me know how your setup goes. I've been looking at this system as well from Aliengear ShapeShift Modular Holster System by Alien Gear Holsters

It looks to be easy to dismount then transfer to another mount that's in the car. That way your primary is just going back and forth. However I prefer to carry iwb, and want to have a dedicated rig that's always in the car.

Maybe something in the armrest box? That should be deep enough for even a full size pistol. Maybe find a way to lock that.

I had looked into doing something with the armreset box myself but my megastar .45 wont fit. Not even remotely. I need to get something smaller for easy hidden carry for the X5.

While I cannot contribute an answer to this question/thread, reading this I'm just damn thankful I live somewhere where even the Police aren't armed...

That's definitely different than here. When you turn 16 you usually get a few guns for your birthday

I did live in the USA for a bit back in the '70s and have been back often but i don't claim to understand what it's like now though... Will find out when I'm there next year I guess...

I wonder if the E70 door locker could be retro-fitted to an E53. A good auto-trimmer could sort that in a couple of hours, I'm sure. And keying the lock to the existing keys would be best.

I haves a BMW bike and I've keyed the pannier locks to match the ignition, gas cap, tail locker etc. - simply brilliant. One key to rule them all and in the darkness bind them...

Sounds real dreamy there.
Here in the USA most if not all the thugs have guns.
All the law abiding citizens are defenseless.
Chicago, California, other "no gun zone" places.
Either be a victim, or fight back.
I choose to NOT be a victim.

I love living here, makes me feel like it's the old West again.

Why not just carry? Here in CT, I can't imagine the liability of leaving anything in my vehicle.
