Was the bumper off the car recently? Replaced or painted etc.? Maybe the PO or panel beater left the connector undone...
Old thread (and my images are gone - grrr…) but my PDC just started playing up.

While I have yet to fix it (getting there...) I can confirm it IS possible to access the front PDC hardness connection via the right-side fog lamp - just remove the fog lamp cover and fog lamp assembly and there's a tonne of room to get at the connector/harness etc.

Still NO WAY you can get to the outer front sensors without removing the bumper though.

I've had this error for over 5 years. I hate removing the front bumper so I just live with it. I believe it is a single connector at a corner PDC sensor that I should probably cut and install another.

Damn thing is suddenly intermittant - works about 2/3rds of the time. I know it's an issue with the front (since the error tone is at the front) so I'm hoping it's not one of the front corners - I hate removing the bumper too!

I'll break out INPA when I get 30 minutes to goof with it...

With NCS you can code the front sensors temporarily out so at least the rear PDC works.

With DIS you can get a distance reading from each individual sensor. They are amazingly accurate if they are OE and working properly.

Simple one click in PA Soft as well. Choose 4 or 8 sensors. Choosing 4 removes the fronts from the system. You can even adjust the sensitivity of the sensors down to the centimetre.

Yes, it's easy with BMW scanner too. With NCS it's this parameter.

ANZAHL_WANDLER
8_wandler -> 4_wandler

Thanks for this. Apparently my BMW laptop DOES have PA Soft, I just need to buy the proper cable.

I'm getting all 8 as errors now adn negative line problem. phooey.
Perhaps its a wiring at the module issue...
