Issue with trailer lights staying on (Factory Tow Kit)

'05 X5 with the factory tow package installed... My trailer lights are staying on after turning off the X5 lights, even after shutting the X5 completely off. In the many years I have been towing, I've never had this happen before. Is this an issue with the LCM? Does it need to be 'reprogrammed'?

I notice when I have my round to flat adapter installed one of the test LEDs blinks indicating pulsed power. Are the lights on full power? Dim? Brakes and directional work properly? (Other than not turning off) it "feels like" a miss-wired situation. Or possible led lights incompatible problem

Literally nothing has changed in terms of wiring, plugs, etc. I am not using any adapters. The round connector on my Trailex is going straight into the round receptacle connector on the X5. Brake lights and directionals work properly. No bulbs have been changed, either.

I asked about "dim" because the X5 will turn the signal on dim when off if the stalk is latched onto a turn.

Ah, makes sense. Mine are still staying on when not in dim mode.
