Weird key fob central locking issue
After jump start having some Weird issues with the locking system. Car DOES NOT respond to any of the buttons on key fob Car DOES unlock manually Car DOES lock/unlock from central locking button Bootlid DOES open with interior button Car DOES NOT lock manually. So I have to lock the car internally with the interior button, then get out and lock the drivers door manually. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

How good is the battery? You could try unhooking the negative terminal for 15 minutes or so and then hooking it back up. Cannot hurt.
These cars do not like jump starts. My MID blew because of a jump start. Everything displayed but you could not reset the clock, change between AM/FM or adjust any of the audio settings other than the volume.

If you can't lock all doors from outside try to verify the key cylinder switches are working properly by holding the key in the unlock position to roll down all windows then hold in the lock position to roll up all windows.
It seems like the key got uninitialized. follow the initialize procedure and with any luck that will restore normal function to your key fob.

I agree that re-programming the key fob would be a good place to start. I've had weird occurrences over the years of a key fob just somehow losing synch.

When you use the remote buttons...a 315 MHz or 433 MHz radio frequency is sent to an aerial in the rear window (or left rear cargo window on the Tourings and SAVs)...then to an amp/receiver in the C-pillar/D-pillar/roof (depending on if sedan/Touring/SAV)...then up to the GM over the K-bus then onto the P-bus. When you manually lock/unlock the car using the driver's door, trunk or interior central locking/trunk lock buttons...the commands are carried directly over the K-bus from the lock actuators onto the GM and P bus. Also, the remote locking (FBZV) will usually not operate if there's an issue with the foundational central locking system (FZV). Which means if you insert the key into the driver's door lock cylinder and nothing happens...then you have an issue with central locking that needs to be taken care of. The jump start may have done something to a module...or blew a fuse...make sure you check both front and rear central locking fuse locations because the fuel filler flap actuator is also apart of the central locking system and locks when the car is in "double-locked" mode (this occurs when you lock the vehicle using the remote buttons, or the driver's door lock cylinder ONLY).

Sorry. Was in a rush to get it posted my phone was on 1% lol. I meant. I have to lock the car using the central locking button because turning the key in the door does nothing except lock the drivers door. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

But still, since it is so easy to do, I would go through the key reprogramming procedure and see what changes. ALSO - just thought of this ... usually when debugging something you don't expect there to be two different problems, just one. But I will guess that manual 4-door locking (that does not work now, as you describe) is not something you normally test. So maybe that failed a while ago, perhaps due to some failed electrical contact in the key cylinder mechanism. And then this new problem is entirely due to an electrical glitch that can be reset by reprogramming the key. So it could be that you have two different problems here.

Right. Got it sorted.
Turned out to be a power drain from the tracker. It was draining the battery too much apparently so the ecu decided to disable the alarm thinking the driver won't be able to re-enter the car or that the alarm would drain even further. Unplugged the tracker and charged the battery up, voila! All is back to normal. Now just realised the sunroof has decided to stop working yay(!) never ends. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

When there's a power loss...the sunroof needs to be reinitialized. You don't have a signature or car info (probably due to using the mobile version) that gives any mention of your model/model year...so I don't know which sunroof type you have...so check your owners manual for the instructions on how to reinitialize your sunroof.

I thought all e53 sunroofs were reinitialised by holding down on the tilt button until the sunroof cycles through all the positions?
