well, just a little update , i put some of that yellow dye into the Ps reservoir about 3 days ago now, drove it to work for that time , i cannot see any dye any where , however i have a nice wet (as usual) drivers steering boot so , its either the dye hasn't worked its way out yet , or its engine oil, but ill give it a few weeks to work through properly just to make sure , clean it all again , then put dye in the engine oil, only thing i can think now if it is engine is my passenger side rocker gasket

It's best to start looking for leaks with a clean engine bay and I don't know if you can get it in the U.K., but try to get the product called "Oil Eater" and spray it on every dirty greasy part in the engine bay and spray it off with a pressure washer and the whole engine will be oil/grease free. It even takes oil spots off concrete or eats asphalt even though it is nontoxic and biodegradable.(sorry to the street maintenance guys) totally an accident!!

*Don't get it on HOT aluminum as it can make it discolored and keep it off glass or at least buy stock in Windex cause you'll be putting a window cleaners kid through school....

the engine bay was nice and clean , i spent ages greasing it.
