Same here EOD, speedy recovery for your boy. Fortunately kids heal amazingly and usually handle the discomfort better than most adults.

Our son did the exact same thing (twice ) but with less injury. Doc wanted to give him stitches, but I cleaned and super glued it for less scarring. Wife was not pleased until I had her talk to my surgeon bud who said it was the right way to go. Inch lower though and he would have been in danger of losing an eye.

Jaw was manipulated into place and all seems fine now, besides an crying toddler I am sure the glaring/crying Asian women doesn't give a rats ass about jail at the moment.

This photo was taken on the way home and was the only thing worth a shit last night.....

I thought about trying to pass him since I already have an upcoming event with the judiciary

Let you all know if I escape a 24hr vacation!

Glad to hear your son is on the mend. It's terrifying when stuff like that happens, but they heal fast and usually forget about it, so they can do it again

Hopefully when you explain it to the judge he'll understand.

Thanks guys.

He's acting like it's all good but has a monkey lip and a bruise (just showing) on his back from being held down on the table. He's much stronger than I thought. As for the judge if I even get to talk to them.... we'll see, but I am pretty sure that being a pork eating crusader is going to limit the effectiveness of my explanation. Most tickets are sent to your phone and show up on your bank account and abshier (do everything, tracking, payment) app. I also need a new alignment and balance on the front end.

At least I didn't beat the guards ass for trying to take our temperature before entering the hospital, although it would have been the best place for it to happen in the security guards experience....

Yep! I know how it goes as well. I got 3, from twenties to teens.

Our youngest chin must of had a bullseye on it. She opened it not once, but twice. Had to be glued like Crystal said. Second time around, she opened the lip as well. To this day, there is a slight nerve damage to the lip. The wife is still pissed.

After the first incident my wife put those corner protectors on everything. We still have them everywhere as the boy (now 4) still jumps around and launches himself off couches, me, tables, or any combination of the 3.

These things. They have prevented many another gash and the wife has a stash of them here for when the adhesive on one gives up and needs replacing.

Here's our boy's gash before cyanoacrylate treatment. He's calm in this picture, he was much less so during treatment and then dressing. Poor guy. Like you EOD, holding him in place had me using much more of my weight than I had anticipated being required.

Oh we've got those protectors on every corner, he just dove into the straight edge...

So far this kid hasn't needed rods and screws like his 24 y/o brother 8k usd for that one 15 years ago...

He looks like a trooper just waiting patiently in that pic.... now 30 seconds before you took the photo..

Cuts and bangs on the head and face are always unnerving cause they tend to bleed so much. Glad he's okay.

My son cut his scalp to the bone on a door latch plate at age 4. The CEO passed out, excuse me, took a nap while holding him on the exam table as the doc cleaned the wound. He was okay though and helped the doctor "wake mommy up" afterwards.

You're right about the bleeding. I was surprised at how much/quick blood was flowing. I had to tell his Mom not to come in to the room for fear of an unscheduled "nap." Once I had it cleaned and covered I let her come in and freak out about how it was my fault the boy had pulled the old foam corner covers off and we hadn't replaced them yet.

Funny, when I split my heel stepping on a broken glass, and was standing in a puddle of blood in the kitchen I don't remember her being nearly as concerned.

EOD, I think I see the corner protector in your image now. Missed it before. Glad he's okay and fingers crossed for you with the local constabulary.
