fellas,

whats a 2002 4.6is with 97K Miles with a REBUILT title worth to you? KBB on a clean title is about $6K.

20% to 50% less than what a similar mileage car with the same options is worth. So between 3,000 to 4,800.

It's a mixed bag with rebuilt titles. Some are totaled for silly reasons, others get f'd up and then you get some hack jobs to get them back on the road.

Keep looking, especially if you have to have the V8, it will have more issues than the 6. Be sure to get under it and scan it before you buy it. I spent 2 years looking for my new 06/330ci , it has 33K miles. Worth the 12g's.. Good luck..

Its not terribly hard to total out an old BMW. Hell I've seen them totaled being rear ended. New bumper and some exhaust parts and the insurance company will pay out. It doesn't take a genius to bolt on a new exhaust and paint a bumper.

But nevertheless def always find out WHY its been totaled. Especially on a V8. if they hit something and had the front end pushed back a little you're just opening pandoras box. Id hate for you to save a couple thousand up front and pay multiple thousands fixing things that were broke and never fixed correctly.
